The Flood
The waters rise — but Elohim remembers His own
I establish my Brit with you.
Bereshit 9:9
When wickedness fills the earth, Elohim does not abandon — He remembers. Noach finds favour, the ark rides the storm, and a rainbow seals a Brit: never again. The flood is a sober line in the story; the rainbow is a promise that mercy will not run out.
Adonai, when the waters of this world rise around me, hold me as You held Noach. I trust the rainbow of Your Brit.
