The Good Shomroni
Lukas 10:25–37mercyneighbour
A man left for dead is passed by a priest and a Levi'i; a Shomroni binds his wounds and pays for his care.
The lawyer asked, 'Who is my neighbour?' to draw a circle around his obligation. Yeshua flips the question: 'Which of these proved to be a neighbour?' The hated Shomroni is the answer — the one outside the religious system was the one who showed mercy. Go and do likewise.
