The Rich Fool

Lukas 12:13–21
stewardshipwarning
What Yeshua is saying

A rich man tears down his barns to build bigger ones, says to his soul 'eat, drink, be merry' — and dies that night.

The explanation

The man's mistake was not wealth itself but the audience of his planning: 'I, my, mine.' He never asked the Father what the harvest was for. Be rich toward Elohim — store treasure where moth and rust do not enter, where your soul cannot be required of you in vain.
