What is collected
Nothing. Truly nothing.
kodeshway.org is a read-only teaching site. There are no accounts to create, no newsletter to sign up for, no donations to take; the one thing you can type here is a question to Lumen, described below. No third-party analytics are used. No tracking pixels. No cookies are set. A few preferences are kept in your browser's own local storage and never leave your device: your light-or-dark theme choice, a reading-size setting, and — only if you tap “Use your location” for sundown times — the coordinates your browser provides. Clearing your browser data removes all of them. Nothing is transmitted anywhere. Your device is not fingerprinted. Visitor data is never sold, shared, or aggregated — there is no visitor data to sell, share, or aggregate.

Geolocation stays on your device
Used only when you tap the button. Never transmitted.
The Appointed Times widget in the page footer can show sundown and candle-lighting times precise to your location. That precision requires a longitude. Your browser asks for it only when you tap "use your location" inside the widget. If you allow it, the coordinates are handed to the JavaScript running on your device and used in a sundown calculation right there in your browser.
The coordinates never leave your device. They are not sent to a server. They are not stored. Reload the page and they are gone. If you decline the browser prompt, the page still works — you see the Hebrew date and the count of days, just without an exact local sundown time. No place is His place; the site computes for wherever you are.
Edge logging
Server-side logs that are not read and cannot be turned off.
This site is served from a standard CDN edge. Like every responsible host, the edge keeps short-lived server logs of requests — IP address, user agent, timestamp, requested URL — for abuse prevention and DDoS mitigation. That logging happens at the network edge before any site code runs; it cannot be switched off.
Those logs are never queried for analytics. They are never linked to anything else. They are never exported. If your threat model requires zero IP exposure, use Tor or a trusted VPN; those choices are yours, and they work fine with this site.
Lumen on this site
A question goes out, an answer comes back, and nothing of the conversation is kept.
kodeshway.org/lumen answers questions about Scripture with no account and no sign-in. When a question is asked, three things leave the browser: the question, the last few turns of that same conversation so a follow-up makes sense (the page keeps them only in memory and they are gone when the page is), and a one-time verification token from Cloudflare Turnstile, which stands at the door so that people, not scripts, are asking. Turnstile runs invisibly; its handling of visitor data is set out in Cloudflare's Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
The question is passed to a third-party language-model provider to produce the answer and is not stored by KodeshWay: not the question, not the conversation, not the answer. What the service does keep, per day, is a count of requests and of tokens under a salted hash of the network address, and a category for any request it refused (wrong origin, failed verification, too many in an hour or a day, too long, off topic). The address itself is never written anywhere. These records exist to hold the daily spending limit and to stop abuse, and for nothing else.
The service is limited on purpose: a small number of questions per address per hour and per day, a cap on the length of a question, and a daily budget after which it stops answering until the next day. Lumen answers only from the KodeshWay Scriptures and only about Scripture; test every answer against the Word itself.

The KodeshWay iOS app uses Sign in with Apple (an opaque identifier is received, not your Apple ID or your email — Apple relays a private relay address if you make contact). Your highlights, notes, bookmarks, and reading progress stay on your device and in your private iCloud; they never touch the server. Lumen AI requests go through the KodeshWay Vapor server to Anthropic's API — your prompt and the response are never stored, only a small usage-metadata row kept for thirty days to confirm Lumen is working. App Store receipts are verified server-side for billing; that is all that is stored. Full detail at kodeshway.com/privacy.
